Redken Shades EQ Clear is the pigment-free version of the demi-permanent line, and it does two jobs. On its own it's a clear gloss, adding shine and a glossy, refreshed finish to the hair without depositing any colour at all, so it leaves whatever tone is already there completely unchanged. Mixed with a Shades EQ shade, it dilutes the pigment, letting you soften a tone or create a sheer, lighter version of a shade without shifting its direction. As a demi it deposits rather than lifts, and being clear it's the most versatile tube in the range. The 60ml tube is standard professional size.

How to use

Mix with the appropriate Redken Shades EQ processing solution at the ratio specified by the manufacturer, then apply and process as directed, for a clear gloss with no colour change. To dilute a shade, mix Clear with the chosen Shades EQ tube following Redken's guidance on ratios, more Clear gives a softer, sheerer result. It shows shine best on hair that's in reasonable condition. Rinse thoroughly and follow with colour-safe aftercare.
