Hair colour removers are designed to remove artificial colour from the hair without the level of damage associated with bleaching. They work by shrinking the colour molecules inside the hair shaft so they can be rinsed away, leaving your natural hair colour largely intact.

They are not the same as bleach and will not lighten natural hair pigment, only remove the artificial colour on top.
