Olaplex very soon found its footing within hair salons all over the world also! Becoming part of so many hairdressers daily services whether it be hair treatments, hair colouring or just general maintenance!

Olaplex has grown to be a brand that is well trusted, well known and has a product for almost any hair uncertainty that you may have such as Shampoo, Conditioner, Oils, Bond Rebuilders. Not only this but they're also marching forward into the beauty world, recently releasing the Olaplex BrowBond Building Serum!

What Ingredient Makes Olaplex Special?

At the time, Olaplex was really a ground breaking product, There wasn't anything quite like it on the market, So it's understandable why hair lovers went crazy for it! What makes it so special and unique though?

Well Olaplex has a wonderful ingredient called Bis-Aminopropyl Di glycol Di maleate. This allowed professionals to reach new heights in colour & care. Hair wasn't just healthier when using this ingredient but it also took on a completely different quality! Blonds hair was brighter, brunettes were more radiant and red heads were more vibrant!

How Does Olaplex Work Though?

To delve into this, We need to learn a little bit about the hair so get your pen and paper out, Spit out your chewing gum and listen up!

Hair is made up of fibrous protein called Keratin, It's held together by bonds. Hydrogen and salt bonds are physical bonds that are easily reformed by changes in PH, water and/or heat.

Disulphide bonds are chemical covalent bonds. These bonds cannot be broken down by water. Millions of disulphide bonds give the hair its structure, strength and stability.

When these disulphide bonds are broken, the hair is damaged, consequentially, it then starts to look damaged as well and can appear dry, frizzy and brittle.

When you apply Olaplex to the hair, it penetrates the hair on a molecular level. Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate is a single molecule that works in a rather unique way to quickly heal and effectively repair the broken bonds in the hair to give you back your healthy tameable hair.

This ingredient is included in every single one of the Olaplex products, Meaning that every single Olaplex product does have healing and reparative characteristics to them.
