What makes Olaplex genuinely different from most haircare brands is the science behind it. The brand developed a patented single ingredient called Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, which works by finding and relinking broken disulfide bonds in the hair. These bonds are broken during chemical services like bleaching, colouring and perming, and Olaplex is the first product that was proven to actually repair them rather than just masking the damage. The results for heavily chemically processed hair can be genuinely remarkable.

Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector

The Olaplex No.3 Plus Complete Repair Treatment is the most popular at-home Olaplex product and the one most people start with. It is a pre-shampoo treatment that you apply to damp hair, leave for at least 10 minutes and then wash out. Used regularly it makes a significant difference to the strength and condition of damaged or chemically processed hair.
