Redken Shades EQ in 5AB is an alkaline demi-permanent colour in a liquid cream formula, and it's one of the most trusted toning glosses in professional salons. How to use

Mix with the appropriate Redken Shades EQ processing solution at the ratio specified by the manufacturer, then apply and process as directed. Ash-blue is the strongest cool direction, so 5AB is the one to reach for when a mid-brown is pulling warm or orange and a standard ash isn't cutting it, the blue neutralises the warmth more forcefully. Because it's a strong cool tone it can grab, so a strand test is well worth doing before a full application. Rinse thoroughly and follow with colour-safe aftercare.
