Colour Undo works by reversing what a permanent colour does. Permanent colour deposits small artificial pigment molecules inside the hair, and Colour Undo shrinks those molecules back down so they can be rinsed away, which means it targets the artificial colour rather than lifting the hair the way bleach would. That makes it a far gentler route out of a colour that hasn't worked, or a useful first step before recolouring. How to use

Follow the instructions supplied with the kit carefully, including mixing, application and timing, and rinse thoroughly and for as long as directed, insufficient rinsing is the most common cause of colour reappearing afterwards. Results vary depending on the colour history of the hair, so a strand test first is always worth the few minutes it takes. Carry out a skin allergy alert test before use as directed by the manufacturer.
