HEMA (hydroxyethyl methacrylate) is the specific chemical in many gel formulations that most commonly triggers acrylate allergy reactions in sensitised individuals; a HEMA-free polish meaningfully reduces (though does not eliminate) the primary allergen exposure route. How to use
Complete standard prep work: cuticle work, light etching, dehydrator, HEMA-Free Acid-Free Primer, HEMA-Free Base Coat and cure. Apply a thin first coat of Sealed with a Kiss and cure. Apply a second coat and cure. Finish with a top coat and cure. Wipe cured surface with Diamond Shine Cleanser or equivalent to remove the surface inhibition layer for the finished gloss finish. Soak off with acetone for removal per standard gel polish routine.
