Glitterbels Core Acrylic Powder in Glass Slippers is a 56g pot of clear acrylic powder — the workhorse capping powder used to seal and finish coloured acrylics, glitter acrylics, and any hybrid/sparkle acrylic that needs a clear top layer to hold the finish. Also used as the primary powder for creating the "glass nail" effect (a fully transparent finished nail that shows the natural nail bed underneath, popular for editorial and minimalist bridal work). Different product from gel polish — coloured acrylic is applied wet using monomer and an acrylic brush, cured through the chemical polymerisation reaction between monomer and powder rather than under a UV/LED lamp. The larger 56g pot size (twice the size of the standard 28g coloured acrylic pots) makes sense since clear capping powder gets used across most sets as a finishing step, so it runs out faster than any individual coloured powder.

How to use

For capping coloured or glitter acrylics: after building your coloured/glitter layer with the appropriate powder and letting it set, dip your acrylic brush into monomer, then into the Glass Slippers clear powder to pick up a clear bead, and apply as a top capping layer over the coloured layer. Cure per your acrylic setting routine. File and finish. For "glass nail" effect: use clear only (no coloured or glitter layer underneath), apply directly over the prepped natural nail as the sole acrylic layer, cure, file and finish to a polished glass-like finish showing the natural nail through.
