Unlike the pigmented Sand, Silver and Violet shades, Clear contains no pigment, so it works in two clever ways: on its own, it adds pure gloss and high shine to pre-lightened blonde without changing the tone, and mixed into the pigmented shades, it dilutes and softens them for a sheerer, more customised, more natural result. Clear is the "no colour" toner in the Blonde Life Quick Tone range, and it earns its place in two ways. Used alone, it acts as a clear gloss, adding shine and gleam to pre-lightened blonde without depositing any tone, perfect when you want gloss and condition without changing the colour. And mixed with the pigmented shades (Sand for warmth, Silver and Violet for cool/anti-brass), it works as a dilutant: it softens the intensity of the pigment for a sheerer, gentler, more custom result, giving colourists total control over how strong a tone comes out. Like the rest of the line, it's fast (5 minutes or less), and it's formulated with anti-breakage technology and exotic oils to help protect the hair and boost shine as it works. How to use it

For professional use. Carry out an allergy alert test at least 48 hours before every application (see below). Apply to freshly lightened or pre-lightened hair for a clear gloss, or intermix with the Sand, Silver or Violet shades to dilute and customise your tone, following Joico's mixing and developer guidance. Leave for up to 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and follow with a conditioning treatment for the best results.
