- Halo Acrylic Plus Monomer, 100ml (medium-setting)
- Professional acrylic liquid — medium-setting speed
- Suitable for beginner and expert nail techs
- Pairs with Halo Acrylic Plus powder range
Halo Acrylic Plus Monomer is a 100ml bottle of professional acrylic monomer liquid in the medium-setting speed variant — the versatile middle-ground option in the Halo monomer range. Real practical positioning: medium-setting speed bridges the working-time gap between slow-setting monomer (beginner-friendly, more open time for less-experienced techs still building speed) and fast-setting monomer (experienced techs, less open time for faster service work). Halo explicitly positions medium-setting as suitable for both beginner and expert techs, making this the versatile default choice for most techs and salon service work. Dries to a velvety finish per manufacturer, meaning less filing work after set. Pairs with the Halo Acrylic Plus powder range (Blush Pink standard, Cover Peach cover format, plus other shades across the range).
Key features
- Professional acrylic monomer liquid, 100ml
- Medium-setting speed — versatile default
- Suitable for beginner and expert nail techs
- Velvety finish per manufacturer (less filing after set)
- Pairs with Halo Acrylic Plus powder range
- Also available in fast-setting variant (for experienced techs)
How to use
Standard acrylic application: pour a working portion of monomer into a dappen dish. Load an acrylic brush with monomer, dip into your chosen Halo acrylic powder to pick up a bead, and apply the bead to the natural nail or over a nail tip for extension work. Sculpt and shape at your normal working pace — medium-setting speed gives balanced working time (not as much time as slow-setting, more than fast-setting), suitable for most techs' service work speed. Once set, continue with next bead as needed to complete the set. Do not attempt to re-work acrylic after it has started to set — leave until fully cured and file/shape once fully hard. Store the monomer bottle upright, capped tightly, and away from heat/direct sunlight to preserve product quality over service life. Dispose of any waste monomer in a proper chemical waste container rather than general waste.
Who it's for
This monomer is for professional nail techs at all experience levels doing standard acrylic service work. We've spent years helping clients in Codsall look and feel their best, and as a working salon, we know medium-setting monomer is the versatile default choice for most acrylic service work — enough working time for beginner-to-intermediate technique speed, but not so much that experienced techs feel the acrylic is too slow to work with. If you're new to acrylic and finding this speed challenging, consider slow-setting monomer for more working time. If you're experienced and finding this speed too slow for efficient service work, consider fast-setting monomer. For most techs and most service work, medium-setting is the practical everyday choice.

Critical safety information for professional use: Acrylic monomer contains chemical compounds (typically ethyl methacrylate or similar acrylates) that require proper handling discipline. Use in a well-ventilated area — proper ventilation is essential. Prolonged exposure to acrylic monomer vapours can cause respiratory sensitisation and allergic reactions over time — this is a genuine occupational-health concern for career techs, not a boilerplate warning. Consider proper dust extraction, ventilation systems, or wearing appropriate respiratory protection for high-volume acrylic service work. Avoid skin contact — monomer causes allergic sensitisation with repeated skin exposure, which can develop over months and years of exposure. If monomer contacts skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. If monomer contacts eyes: flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek emergency medical attention. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. Highly flammable — keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and sources of ignition. Do not smoke while using or in the vicinity of monomer. Store upright, capped tightly, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep away from acetone and other volatile solvents. Dispose of waste monomer in a proper chemical waste container per your local hazardous waste regulations, not in general waste. Keep strictly out of reach of children — acrylic monomer is a genuine serious hazard for young children.
