    • Glossify Ultra Bond Acid Primer, 15ml
    • Professional acid-based primer for lift-prone clients
    • Strong adhesion for problem lifting cases
    • Must dry completely before acrylic application

Glossify Ultra Bond Acid Primer is a 15ml bottle of professional acid-based primer designed specifically for clients who experience lifting issues with standard adhesion products. Real technical positioning as the acid-based counterpart to the Super Prime Acid-Free Primer — same category (primer, applied after cleanse/dehydrate), different chemistry (acid-based vs acid-free). The acid-based formulation (methacrylic acid) creates significantly stronger adhesion by lightly etching the nail plate surface, giving the following acrylic or gel layer better mechanical grip. This makes it the specific solution for lift-prone clients where standard acid-free primers aren't enough to prevent lifting. Trade-off is that acid-based primers are harsher on both the natural nail plate (etching effect) and on skin (methacrylic acid is corrosive and requires careful handling). Not a routine-use primer for every service — specifically for lifting issues where the stronger adhesion is genuinely needed. Must dry completely before acrylic application.

    Key features

    • Professional acid-based primer, 15ml bottle
    • Specifically for lift-prone clients
    • Stronger adhesion than acid-free primers via nail plate etching
    • Must dry completely before acrylic application
    • Not routine-use — for specific lifting-issue cases
    • Requires careful handling — methacrylic acid is corrosive

    How to use

Complete standard prep work first: cuticle work, light etching, thorough cleanse/prep cleanse, and dehydrator. Apply a very small amount of Ultra Bond Acid Primer with the brush directly from the bottle — the smallest possible amount to cover the nail plate lightly. Do not flood the nail or let primer pool at the cuticle. Wait for the primer to dry completely before applying the next layer — this is manufacturer-specified and critical for acid-based primers (applying acrylic over still-wet acid primer can cause chemical reactions that compromise the set). Once dry, apply your acrylic or gel product per the standard workflow. Between services on the same day, cap the bottle tightly and store upright.

    Who it's for

This primer is for professional nail techs working with clients who experience persistent lifting issues that acid-free primers can't solve. We've spent years helping clients in Codsall look and feel their best, and as a working salon, we know some clients genuinely need the stronger adhesion of acid-based primers — particularly clients with naturally oily nail beds, clients in hands-in-water occupations (cleaners, hairdressers, healthcare workers, chefs), and clients whose nail chemistry just doesn't hold acid-free primer well. For these specific cases, Ultra Bond Acid Primer solves the lifting problem where acid-free primers can't. For standard non-lifting client work, the acid-free Super Prime is the gentler recommendation to protect natural nail health over repeated services — acid-based primers should be reserved for the cases where they're genuinely needed.

Critical safety information for professional use only: Ultra Bond Acid Primer contains methacrylic acid, which is corrosive to skin and causes severe irritation on contact. Never allow primer to contact skin, cuticles, or eye area. If primer contacts skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap, and continue rinsing for several minutes. If primer contacts eyes: flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek emergency medical attention. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting — seek immediate medical attention. Fumes can irritate eyes and respiratory tract — use in a well-ventilated area. Repeated skin exposure over time can cause chemical burns and sensitisation. Not for use on damaged, infected or broken nail plate — the acid formulation will cause severe pain and additional damage. Store upright, capped tightly, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep away from acetone and other volatile solvents. Keep strictly out of reach of children — methacrylic acid is a genuine child-safety hazard. Full prep-chain knowledge required for proper use — this is a professional-only product, not a beginner-friendly consumer item. If in doubt about whether acid-based primer is the right choice for a specific client, use the gentler acid-free primer instead.
