    • Glossify Super Prime Acid-Free Primer, 15ml
    • Professional acid-free primer for gel/acrylic adhesion
    • Gentler than acid-based primers, still provides proper adhesion
    • Tacky finish for next-layer bonding

Glossify Super Prime Acid-Free Primer is a 15ml bottle of professional acid-free primer used after prep cleansing to complete surface preparation and ensure proper adhesion of the following gel or acrylic layer. Real distinct prep-chain role — sits between the cleanse/dehydrate stage and the base coat/first application layer, providing the chemical adhesion foundation that keeps the whole set adhered to the natural nail through the service life. Acid-free formulation is the key technical distinction: traditional acid-based primers (typically methacrylic acid) create very strong adhesion but etch the natural nail plate in the process, which is harsher and can cause thinning over repeated services. Acid-free primers work through chemical bonding mechanisms without etching — gentler for the natural nail while still providing proper adhesion. Tacky finish is intentional: the primer stays slightly sticky rather than curing hard, and this tackiness is what the base coat or acrylic bead grips onto for mechanical adhesion. Professional use only — proper primer application requires prep-chain knowledge to use correctly.

    Key features

    • Professional acid-free primer, 15ml bottle
    • Sits between cleanse/dehydrate and base coat in the prep chain
    • Acid-free formulation — gentler than acid-based primers
    • Tacky finish for next-layer bonding
    • Chemical adhesion (no acid etching of the nail plate)
    • Professional use only

    How to use

Complete standard prep work first: cuticle work, light etching (per your usual technique), thorough cleanse/prep cleanse, and dehydrator. Once the nail plate is properly prepped and dry, apply a very thin coat of Super Prime Acid-Free Primer across the nail plate with the brush directly from the bottle — less is more, apply only enough to cover the nail plate lightly. Do not cure — primer stays uncured and tacky. Immediately proceed to the next application layer (base coat for gel work, first acrylic bead for acrylic work) — the tacky primer surface bonds mechanically with the next layer. Avoid getting primer on skin or cuticles.

    Who it's for

This primer is for professional nail techs doing gel or acrylic service work who want proper adhesion without the harshness of acid-based primers. We've spent years helping clients in Codsall look and feel their best, and as a working salon, we know acid-free primers are the modern-standard choice for most services — the gentler mechanism protects the natural nail plate over repeated services, particularly important for clients getting regular enhancements over months and years (repeated acid-based primer exposure does cause cumulative nail plate thinning). Acid-based primers still have their place for lift-prone clients or specific technical situations, but for standard service work, acid-free is the default recommendation.

For professional use only. Primer is applied to the nail plate only — avoid contact with skin, cuticles, or eye area. If primer contacts skin, wipe immediately with a clean cloth. Uncured primer can cause allergic sensitisation with prolonged repeated skin exposure. Do not use on damaged, infected or broken nail plate — consult a GP for signs of paronychia or nail-plate infection. Store upright, capped tightly, in a cool dry place. Keep out of reach of children. Full prep-chain knowledge required for proper use — this is a professional product, not a beginner-friendly consumer item.
