Glitterbels Square Buffer is a professional square-block prep buffer specifically for preparing the natural nail surface before acrylic or gel enhancement application. Different function from the Glitterbels Magic Shiner (finishing/shining buffer for natural-nail service) — the Square Buffer is a prep-stage tool for lightly abrading the nail plate surface so that acrylic or gel bonds properly to the nail. Real functional distinction — over-buffing damages the nail plate, but light targeted buffing removes surface shine and gives the enhancement product proper mechanical grip. Standard workhorse prep tool in professional acrylic and gel work.

How to use

After cuticle work and nail shaping, use the Square Buffer with light even pressure across the whole nail plate surface — the aim is to remove the natural surface shine (which prevents enhancement adhesion) rather than to visibly thin or reshape the nail. Work briefly across each nail: a few passes with light pressure is typically sufficient. Avoid over-buffing — the natural nail plate is a limited resource, and aggressive prep buffing thins the plate over time and can cause sensitivity or weakness. Wipe the buffered nail with a lint-free wipe or dehydrator to remove buffing dust before continuing with primer/base coat/enhancement application.
