It comes in a pressed format (a compacted pigment puck) rather than loose, which makes it easier and more controlled to apply and generates far less airborne dust. What it does

Chrome and holographic powders are burnished over the nail to create a metallic, mirror-like finish, and the holographic ones add that spectacular rainbow-shift as they move in the light. The pressed format is the practical bit: because the pigment is compacted into a puck rather than loose, it's easier to pick up on a silicone applicator, more controlled to place, and much less messy and dusty than loose powders. The result is a smooth, intense, dimensional holographic finish, and Stardust's rainbow-shift really comes alive under direct light, sunlight, a camera flash or directional lighting.

How to use it

Complete your gel manicure through the coloured gel stage and cure. Apply a coat of tack-free (no-wipe) top coat and cure fully, the tack-free surface is essential, as the powder needs to bond to it rather than smear. Press a silicone applicator onto the Stardust puck to pick up product, then press and burnish it firmly and evenly across the cured top coat, repeating to build full coverage. Buff away any excess with a clean silicone tool, then seal with a final coat of top coat and cure, sealing is essential, or the chrome will rub off. Follow the instructions for your gel system and lamp.

Chrome and holographic pigments are a fine particulate, the pressed format produces less airborne dust than loose powders, but still work in a well-ventilated area and keep it away from the eyes and mouth. Apply only over a fully-cured, tack-free top coat for proper adhesion, and seal with top coat, unsealed chrome rubs off quickly. Acetone (for soaking off the gel underneath) is highly flammable, so keep it away from heat and flames. Keep out of reach of children.
