- Glitterbels Pinched Pastel Glitter Acrylic Brush in Size 10
- Oval-pinched shape for smooth acrylic bead placement
- Pastel glitter-filled handle
- Professional acrylic application brush
Glitterbels Pinched Pastel Glitter Acrylic Brush in Size 10 is a professional Kolinsky-style oval-pinched acrylic brush designed for smooth acrylic bead placement and shaping during acrylic nail application. Size 10 is the standard mid-range acrylic brush size — big enough to hold a proper bead of acrylic for full-nail work, small enough for detail control at the cuticle line. Pinched-oval shape (rather than pointed round or flat square) is the go-to shape for smooth acrylic application because the pinched belly holds and releases the acrylic bead evenly while the tapered tip gives clean cuticle-line placement. Pastel-glitter-filled handle is the decorative element (functional acrylic brushes just need the right bristle shape — the handle finish is styling).

How to use — first-use preparation (essential)
New acrylic brushes come with a protective gum/glue holding the bristles in place during shipping — you must remove this fully before first use. Rub or flick the bristles gently between clean fingers to loosen and release the gum. Do this carefully to avoid bending or distorting the bristle shape — the pinched-oval form is what makes the brush work, and damaged bristles won't hold the bead properly. Once you've fully released the bristles (you'll feel the difference — bristles become soft and mobile rather than stiff), soak the bristles briefly in acrylic monomer to dissolve any remaining residue, then wipe the brush on a paper towel to remove monomer and gum residue. The brush is now ready for standard acrylic work.
Standard acrylic use
Dip the brush into your acrylic monomer (from a dappen dish like the Glitterbels Large Dappen Dish covered elsewhere in the range), wick off excess against the dish edge, then pick up acrylic powder from your powder tray to form the bead. Apply the bead to the nail and shape with the pinched-oval belly of the brush. Refresh monomer as needed between beads. Clean the brush after use by wiping on paper towel then dipping briefly in monomer to remove residue — do not let acrylic dry in the brush hairs (dried acrylic is very difficult to remove and destroys the brush shape). Store bristles-up in a brush holder to protect the pinched-oval shape.
Who it's for
This brush is for professional nail techs doing acrylic nail work — size 10 is the standard mid-range choice for full-nail acrylic application. We've spent years helping clients in Codsall look and feel their best, and as a working salon, we know the acrylic brush is one of the most important pieces of the acrylic tech's kit — good bristles and proper shape make the difference between smooth even acrylic placement and lumpy uneven work. Size 10 suits most professional acrylic applications; smaller brushes (size 6-8) suit detail work; larger brushes (size 12-16) suit statement-length full-set work.

Care and safety: For professional use with acrylic monomer. Do not let acrylic dry in the brush bristles — dried acrylic destroys the brush shape and cannot be fully removed. Store bristles-up to protect the pinched-oval shape. Clean between uses with monomer wipe on paper towel. Acrylic monomer is highly flammable and produces strong fumes — always use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid monomer contact with skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
