- Glitterbels Brush-On Builder Gel in Clean Slate, 17ml
- Structure gel for natural nail overlays and short enhancements
- Clear/near-clear finish for natural-look reinforcement
- For short-length work only, not for extreme extensions
Glitterbels Brush-On Builder Gel in Clean Slate is a structure gel (also called hard gel or builder gel) designed for natural nail overlays and short enhancement work. Different product category from standard gel polish — builder gels are thicker in viscosity, self-leveling, and applied with a brush to physically reinforce the natural nail, build shape, or add a small amount of length without going into acrylic-extension territory. Cures under UV or LED lamps (Glitterbels recommend their own LED lamp for cure). Clean Slate as a shade name suggests a clear or near-clear finish, sitting alongside Barefaced in the range as another natural-look/invisible builder gel option — worth checking whether the two are actually identical or whether they differ slightly (e.g. one might be pure clear, the other might have a very subtle warm or cool tint) before recommending as interchangeable. Honest limitation: this is for short natural-nail work and overlay strength, not for building long extensions or extreme lengths — for that you'd need a sculpting gel or acrylic system.

How to use
Prep the natural nail: cleanse, buff lightly, apply dehydrator, apply acid-free primer, apply Glitterbels soak-off basecoat and cure. Apply the builder gel with the brush, building the shape and thickness you want on the nail — the self-leveling viscosity helps it settle into a smooth surface without brush marks. Cure under UV or LED lamp per the Glitterbels recommended times. Apply additional coats if building more shape or length, curing between each. Finish with a top coat and cure. File and shape after the final cure as needed. A clear builder gel like Clean Slate can also be used under coloured gel polish for extra structural support on flimsy natural nails while showing the polish colour on top. Remove by soaking in acetone per your usual soak-off gel routine, or file down per the Glitterbels removal guidance.
Who it's for
This gel is for nail techs and confident home users doing natural-nail overlays where the finish should read as invisible — either as a standalone clear overlay or as a structural base under coloured gel polish. We've spent years helping clients in Codsall look and feel their best, and as a working salon, we know Glitterbels appearing to run two clear/near-clear options in the builder gel range (Clean Slate and Barefaced) means there's likely a subtle difference between them worth noting for clients who care about the specifics — pure clear vs a hint of warm, or clear vs slightly frosted, or similar. Real limitation to be honest about: this is short-work territory, not for building long extensions.
