Glitterbels Blooming Gel is a specialist nail-art gel designed to create watercolour-style spreading effects — apply the transparent blooming gel to the nail, then drop or paint polish colours on top and watch them spread and bloom into marbled, tie-dye, floral or gradient patterns. Different mechanism from standard gel polishes, which stay where you paint them; blooming gel actively encourages the polish colours applied over it to spread and blend, giving watercolour and marble effects that are hard to achieve with any other technique. 17ml is a proper working size for regular nail-art use. Formulated to hold its shape on the nail without running into the cuticle or side walls, which matters for clean edges on the finished design.

How to use

Prep the nail as usual and apply your base gel or base colour, curing per your usual routine. Apply a thin layer of blooming gel over the cured base — do not cure the blooming gel before applying colours. While the blooming gel is uncured, drop or paint your chosen polish colours onto the gel and watch them spread. Use a fine nail-art brush or dotting tool to gently guide the spreading if needed for specific patterns. Once you have the effect you want, cure the whole nail per your gel curing routine. Seal with a top coat and cure. Practice on a nail tip or swatch stick first if you're new to blooming gel — the timing and colour interaction takes a bit of practice to master.
