The Gamma+ Absolute Alpha 2.0 is the rotary-motor clipper in the Gamma+ modular range, which makes it a different proposition to the magnetic X-Ergo, rotary motors are known for steady torque and coping well with thicker, denser hair. It carries the 45mm black diamond carbon DLC taper blade for a smooth, long-lasting edge, and it comes with a huge amount of configurability: 3 customisable levers (two click-system and one floating-system), and a genuinely generous accessory set.
You get two brackets, a 2-hole Stretch and a 4-hole Deep, the Deep one letting you use your master blade on other brands of clipper, an interchangeable gold titanium 'deep teeth' blade, a set of 5 magnetic combs from 1.5 to 13mm, and Gold, Rose Gold and Chrome body kits to set the look up your way. It charges in 150 minutes from either its docking station or a mini USB cable, which is a handy bit of flexibility on the road.

Attach the magnetic combs as needed for length. Oil the blade regularly, brush out hair after each use, and store somewhere it won't get knocked.
Who it's for
This clipper is for barbers who want a premium rotary machine with the flexibility to configure it fully, and it's particularly worth considering if you work with thicker hair. We've spent years helping clients in Codsall look and feel their best, and as a working salon, we know rotary and magnetic motors suit different hands and different hair, rotary tends to win on thick, dense heads where you want steady torque rather than outright blade speed.
