What it does for your hair

Blonde, grey and bleached hair naturally pulls warm and yellow over time, and violet, the shade opposite yellow on the colour wheel, is what counteracts it. Fanola's famously strong purple pigment neutralises that unwanted yellow and brassiness for a cooler, cleaner, brighter result, which is exactly why No Yellow has such a devoted following. Because the pigment is potent, it works fast and lasts well, but it also means it's easy to over-tone, so on very light or porous hair, start with a shorter time and build up to avoid a violet cast. How to use it

After shampooing, apply to damp hair, leave on for a few minutes to develop the tone (adjusting to how much toning you want), then rinse thoroughly. Use once or twice a week, or as needed, to keep tones cool. Wear gloves, as the pigment can stain.
