Barbicide Solution is the classic professional disinfectant concentrate that goes into the recognisable blue jar you'll see on virtually every salon station worldwide, and it's what you use to disinfect combs, brushes, scissors, clipper attachments and other tools between clients as part of standard salon hygiene practice. The concentrate is diluted with water at the recommended ratio to make the working disinfecting solution, and implements sit in the solution for the required contact time to be disinfected. Barbicide is EPA-registered in the United States as a hospital-grade disinfectant and is used in salons internationally as the industry-standard implement disinfectant. The formulation is also fully biodegradable, which matters when you're pouring the used solution away at the end of the day. 473ml is a standard bottle size, one bottle mixes multiple jars of working solution.

How to use

Dilute Barbicide Solution with water at the ratio specified on the bottle (typically 2oz of Barbicide per 32oz of water, but check the current label). Pour the working solution into a Barbicide jar or dedicated disinfectant container. Fully immerse cleaned implements (combs, brushes, scissors, clipper attachments) in the solution for the required contact time (typically 10 minutes). Rinse implements thoroughly with clean water before use on the next client. Change the solution as often as the manufacturer recommends (typically daily or when visibly dirty). Follow the current Barbicide instructions on the bottle for exact dilution ratios and contact times, as regulatory guidance is updated periodically.
