Hot wax can burn: always test the temperature on a small area first, and never overheat. Carry out a patch test before use. Do not wax over broken, irritated, sunburnt or recently-exfoliated skin, varicose veins, moles or areas of poor circulation, and avoid if you use certain skin treatments (e.g. retinoids) or have contraindications, seek advice if unsure.
