Why You Should Use A Good Shampoo

There are many reasons for you to use a good shampoo, for may of us it may be that we just like a particular brand, how something smells, what that brand stands for or how their shampoo makes our hair feel but there are many other reasons that you should consider spending a little bit more time when your considering what shampoo to buy.

For exampe, most drugstore shampoos and supermarket shampoos will do fine for most of us and that's great but essentially, these shampoos will just strip all of the oil from your hair leaving it with no oil at all and if you're washing your hair every day, you're going to find that it gets very dry, you start getting split ends and your colour will start to fade very quickly.

It's always idea for your hair to have a bit of oil in there to keep it healthy and there are many shampoos that contain certain oils to replace the oil that has just been washed out. Oils such as Argan Oil.

Is Sulphate Free Shampoo Better For My Hair?

Many people will have read about sulphate and paraben shampoo being better for your hair but is this actually true? Depending on who you ask, the answer may differ. If you never have fun experimenting with your hair then a sulphate free shampoo won't really make that much difference to you but now, if you were to ask the same question to somebody that had coloured hair or in particular had a service such as a Brazilian Blow Dry, then a sulphate free shampoo will make all the difference and actually prolong the life of hair colours and Brazilian Blow Drys.

But Is Drugstore Shampoo So Much Different To Salon Professional Shampoo

We personally feel that shampoo that is used in the majority of salons is of a much higher quality than any shampoo you could buy from your local cosmetics store. The quality of the ingredients used in the production of the shampoo is better, there are usually complimenting products that go along side such as dry shampoos, hair styling products, hair conditioners and more. Some companies such as Celeb Luxury also have ranges of shampoos that will actually colour your hair as well and their products really are designed to work well together and compliment eachother.

You may find as well that with professional shampoos that one shampoo will not suit everybody, you can really find a shampoo that suits you and what your hair is doing! Is your hair greasy? Well let's find you a shampoo that is formulated for use on greasy hair. Maybe your hair is feeling dry due to bleach? Well i know the incredible Affinage has a shampoo and complimenting hair conditioner that will make your bleached hair feel great again!

Is Salon Professional Shampoo Vegan Friendly?

Now, this is a very tricky question and we've researched and wrote a lot about vegan friendly hair products, particularly shampoo and conditioners and what we've come to learn is that even though something says it might be vegan friendly, the company themselves may not be vegan friendly. We find that some of the bigger brands such as Maria Nila are completely transparent about what they do, where they sell, what goes into their products that are true vegan friendly brands that we will always stock and be happy to sell as vegan friendly. Where as there are some other bigger brands that say products are vegan friendly and i guess the product itself us but the company will then sell to China where the product may be tested on an animal.
