Cancellation Policy & Lateness
It is with sadness that we have to write such as policy but due to the time of year and the high number of last minute cancellations we have recieved from customers it sadly has to be done.
One thing that we would like all of our clients to understand is that all of the hairdressers here are self employed and are not actually employed by the business, we are all trying to make a living off our own back and if a client does not turn up for their appointment or cancels at the last minute, we have lost that money. It is particularly bad when a client cancels an hour before their appointment as we then don't even have time to try and fill that space again and we then will not make that money back, it's also very disrespectful to us. We would not disrespect a client in such ways and do not expect to be treated this way either.
From now on, we will be enforcing a strict cancellation policy which will be as follows.
If you have previously been unreliable, ie cancelling your appointment at the last minute, you will be required to pay a deposit before your next appointment will be booked. If you have not bought the deposit 48, you will loose the appointment.
If you have not turned up for a previous appointment, you will be required to pay a desposit before your next appointment is booked. If you have not bought the deposit 48 hours before, you will loose the appointment.
All chemical services and extension services will now require a deposit to be paid such as hair colours, brazilian blow drys, bleaching etc..
Please note that the deposit that you have paid will be taken off your actuall appointment.
We will allow you to change your appointment once if you have paid a desposit, after that, you will unfortunately loose your deposit.
If you do not turn up for your appointment you will loose your deposit.
Please also note, that if you turn up 20 minutes late for an appointment which believe it or not, does happen way more than it should, we may not be able to perform the service that you have booked in for. Example, if you have booked in for a cut and finish and you then turn up 30 minutes late to your appointment, we cannot then give you a cut and finish and may just have to give you a dry cut as it is not fair on any clients that are after you that do arrive on time to have their appolintments pushed back 30 minutes. Not to mention it then throws our day back 30 minutes and it then becomes a game of catch up.
Again, we would like to stress that this is something that we wish we didn't have to do but as self employed hairdressers, we need to earn a living too and we cannot do this if customers are cancelling their appointments at the last minute without giving us a chance to fill that slot back up! It's also not fair on the customers that would have wanted that appointment also.
If you need to make a cancellation, please let us know 48 hours before your service is due so we can try our best to fill that slot again.
